Privacy policy

Effective 20 October 2026. This policy describes the privately operated Net Worth Tracker Automation application and this informational website.

Google user data

The application reads holdings, quantities, cost information, formulas, market data, and valuation history from the owner's bound Google Sheets workbook. It writes validated market quotes and valuation history to that workbook. These data are used only to calculate, reconcile, and report the owner's valuations.

Email and external services

The application uses Google's email-sending service to send valuation reports to the owner's configured email address. It does not read Gmail messages. It requests public market information from external source websites; financial holdings and valuation reports are not included in those market-data requests. Google and the source websites may process operational request metadata according to their own policies.

Storage, sharing, and retention

Financial data remain in the owner's Google workbook and valuation emails. Apps Script properties and execution logs may contain operational information needed to prevent duplicate sessions, reconcile calculations, and diagnose failures. Data are not sold, used for advertising, or intentionally shared with unrelated recipients. Historical records and reports are retained until the owner removes them using Google Sheets, Apps Script, or Gmail controls.

Authorization and control

The owner controls access through Google Account permissions and Google Drive sharing settings. Revoking the application's Google access stops authorized processing. The owner can remove scheduled triggers and delete stored records and reports through the relevant Google services. Google user data are used solely for the application's disclosed functionality, subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

This informational website

This static website has no login, forms, analytics scripts, advertising, or financial-data collection. Its hosting provider, GitHub Pages, logs visitor IP addresses for security purposes, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. DNS and hosting providers do not receive the application's financial records through this website.

Contact and updates

This application is maintained by its sole owner for personal use. The owner can use the developer/support contact listed in the application's Google consent configuration for application privacy questions. Any changes in data practices will be reflected on this page before the corresponding application changes are introduced.
